- Academic Learning Solutions ~ offers parent consultations, assessments for students who are struggling, quick screenings to help parents know whether or not their child is performing at appropriate grade level, and lots more. Sole proprietor Susan Farmer also assists new home schoolers in determining an appropriate level to start their child who is being removed from public or private school. Although Susan tutors students, her passion is to help parents become equipped to help their own struggling children. - Positive Learning Solutions ~ To help families by removing barriers to learning by perceptual & educational testing and interventions/therapy/personalized tutoring. Marcia is a statewide Irlen Diagnostician who tests to diagnose & help Irlen Syndrome, a light sensitivity that affects both struggling and good readers, & those who may suffer with headaches/migraines, attention problems, or various medical diagnoses, age 5-adult. Intervention is with colored overlays and/or Irlen Spectral Filters worn as glasses or contact lenses. Structure of Intellect (SOI) testing & follow-up plan strengthens each person in their unique learning style, with brain-building, vision, auditory, and sensory integration exercises, for at-home and/or at her center.
